As we look to start our second season…eventually

In these strange times we have focussed on improving our offering here at Willow Valley and listening to the feedback from our first 18 months. The campers’ feedback has been largely that the friendly and tranquil feel has been maintained while freshening up the already good facilities. Our new café has had a few outings over Christmas and New Year so we know a little bit more about how it might operate in the main seasons. We will be welcoming a chef to run the café and organise events

We added WiFi across the camping field and lodges which has been well received and this is being further upgraded with the addition of BT Fibre. WiFi will also be available in the café

Our glamping offering, consisting of 5 new bell tents was also well received, in fact this is probably our most popular option, with cosy double beds and camp beds for kids. The tents also provide outdoor seating area with fire-pits along with tea and coffee in the tents. The new decks are now in place with 4 in Higher Willow along with their very own ‘kitchen deck’. This provides a seating area along with sinks for washing up and burners for cooking on

The bell tents change the camping experience into a glamping experience but still preserve the feel of camping in the great outdoors enjoying our 7 acres of wilderness. We have started pushing back some of the brambles to open up the woodland for both wildlife and guests to enjoy. This will develop into a series of woodland walks adding to our existing rambles

Work has started on refreshing the two ‘original’ lodges at the rear of the site. We have added a deck and hot tub to Stamford (referencing the civil war history of the area) and this is already proving popular.

We are developing our Coronavirus policy and will make the park as safe as possible to stay in these strange times. Why not book to stay at the park and see for yourself?
