A closer look
Lodge · Hot tub
Helyk is Cornish for willow, the tree that gives the whole valley its name. It’s a wooden lodge with its own hot tub in an enclosed, sunny garden. It sleeps up to six, which makes it one of the roomier lodges and a favourite with families and groups of friends who want the hot tub and a bit of private outdoor space to go with it.
The enclosed garden is the thing people notice. It makes the lodge easy with a dog and with small children, who can be out of the door without anyone standing at the gate, and it gives you somewhere to sit out in the evening that belongs only to your stay.
Inside it’s open plan: a full kitchen with the lounge and diner running together, so you’ve got the scope to entertain if the need arises. The shower and toilet are your own. The hot tub is the kind of thing you end up using every single evening.
Where it sits: One of the hot-tub lodges on the park, sitting in its own enclosed garden with parking alongside.
