A closer look
Glamping · Bell tents
Two of our seven bell tents stand down among the camping fields: Fistral and Polzeath. This page introduces that pair — each has a page of its own, linked below, if you want the detail before you choose between them.
Both stand on their own private deck with a gas cooker and a chiminea, matting underfoot, and a double bed and two singles all made up with bedding and towels — the canvas-camping feeling without owning any of the kit.
This is the most sociable corner of the park and the easiest to reach. The ground is level, there’s no hill to climb with the bags, and the facilities are a short flat walk from the deck. If you’re travelling with young children, or you’d simply rather not carry a cool box uphill, these are the two to book.
They sleep up to four and make a good first step into glamping: more comfortable than a tent you’ve pitched yourself, but still properly under canvas with the valley around you. Both have a gas cooker on the deck, so a bacon butty doesn’t mean walking anywhere — and the cook deck at the facilities is a couple of minutes away if you want more room. The bell tents run from April to September.
Where it sits: Down among the camping fields on level ground — the closest of all the bell tents to the facilities, with no hill to climb.

The camping field on the flat, named for the surf beach at Newquay. Closest of all seven bell tents to the facilities, with the football goals and swings in the same fields. It has a page of its own.
Fistral’s neighbour on the same level ground, with the dog wash behind reception and the river and woodland walks starting at the edge of the field. Same deck, same gas cooker and chiminea, same beds made up for four — and its own page too.
The facility block
The shower and toilet block a short walk from these two tents is a modern facility block: hot showers with hairdryers, baby changing in both the male and female toilets, and the doors open around the clock. There are two blocks on the park, so you are never walking far for a shower.

No — the beds are made up with bedding, towels are provided, and there’s a chiminea on the deck. Bring food and you’re set. It’s the canvas without the faff.

Not inside the canvas, but each deck has a gas cooker of its own. The cook deck at the facilities is a couple of minutes away if you want more room, and BBQs and firepits are welcome outside as long as they’re raised off the grass or the decking on a stand or bricks.
They’re the easiest bell tents to reach with small children: level ground, no hill, the shower block close by, and the football goals and swings down in the camping fields.
April to September. Outside those months, the lodges, Bluebird the school bus and Boskenna the Airstream stay open, and the camping pitches run in their own seasons.
