Bluebird
A 1970 American school bus for four — log burner, proper beds, and a deck out front looking down the valley.

Ways to stay
Ten ways to sleep in the valley — from a 1970 school bus to a lodge with its own hot tub, all of them dog-friendly.
Everything here sits in eleven acres of sheltered Cornish river valley, two miles inland from Bude. Canvas and character down among the trees, lodges with hot tubs, or your own tent or tourer on a level riverside pitch.
Becky and John run the park themselves, so booking direct means dealing with the people who look after the place — and there are no booking fees. Live prices and availability sit in the booking system; the pages below tell you what each stay is actually like.
Canvas, an Airstream and a 1970 school bus — character without the kit. The beds are made up before you arrive, so all you need to do is bring yourselves, some clothes and some food.
Bluebird is the one people remember: an American school bus refitted over a Cornish winter, with a log burner, proper beds and a deck out front. Boskenna is a polished 1972 Airstream for two, adults only and fully self-contained, with a shower, a toilet and a kitchen all inside. Millook is a shepherd’s hut for up to four, with a TV, a fridge and a kettle inside, and its own shower and toilet a few steps outside, private to Millook’s guests and shared with nobody.

Seven named bell tents, each on its own private deck with a chiminea, matting underfoot and a double bed and two singles made up ready before you arrive. They sleep up to four and run from April to September.
They sit in three different parts of the valley, and where yours stands changes the stay enough that each group has its own page. The camping-area tents are on level ground, a short flat walk from the facilities. The lower-hillside pair are raised above the valley floor, a short walk up from the facilities. The upper-hillside tents are the highest decks on the park, furthest from the busy fields.

Bell tents — camping area
Fistral & Polzeath
Down among the camping fields on level ground — the closest of all the bell tents to the facilities, with no hill to climb.

Alongside Fistral in the camping field on the valley floor — level ground, an easy walk from the car and an easy walk to everything else.
Bell tents — lower hillside
Hartland & Kernow
Hartland and Kernow sit together on the lower hillside, raised above the valley floor but without the climb up to the upper tents.
Hartland
Bell tent on the lower hillside
Partway up the lower hillside with Kernow next door, raised above the valley floor for the view but reached by a gentle rise rather than the steep climb to the upper tents.
Kernow
Bell tent on the lower hillside
On the lower hillside beside Hartland, up a gentle rise from the valley floor — high enough to look out over the fields, low enough that the walk down for a shower isn’t a chore.
Bell tents — upper hillside
The Upper Hillside
The three highest tents at Willow Valley, up on the hillside above the valley floor and reached by a steep path from the main track.
St Petroc
Bell tent on the upper hillside
The last of the three upper-hillside tents you reach as the path climbs from the main track, and the highest deck on the park — with St Enodoc and Sea Campion below it.
St Enodoc
Bell tent on the upper hillside
The first of the three upper-hillside tents you reach as the path climbs — with Sea Campion just above it and St Petroc higher still.
Sea Campion
Bell tent on the upper hillside
The middle of the three upper-hillside tents — just above St Enodoc as the path climbs, with St Petroc higher still, and the valley below.

Bell tent · Upper hillside
The middle tent of the three on the upper hillside, just above St Enodoc. High and quiet, named for the flower on the cliffs.
Five wooden lodges, all self-catering, each with its own private hot tub. Helyk, Cornish for willow, sleeps six, with the tub in an enclosed, sunny garden that suits dogs and small children. Bencoolen sits in one of the quietest corners of the valley, with its hot tub on the deck among the trees.
Stamford looks down the valley from a private deck of its own. Heath sits beside Bencoolen in the same secluded corner, and is big on evenings under the stars. Mordros, the sound of the sea, sleeps up to twelve and was built for the family get-togethers where everyone wants to be under one roof.

Whichever one you pick, some things don’t change.
All five lodges: Helyk, Bencoolen, Stamford, Heath and Mordros. Each hot tub is private to that lodge — there’s no shared tub on the park.
Yes, every one. We ask that dogs are kept on a lead no longer than two metres, exercised in the area provided, and never left unattended in a stay. We can’t accept Rottweilers, Dobermans, Bull Mastiffs, Pit Bull Terriers or crosses of those breeds.
Boskenna is fully self-contained, with a shower, a toilet and cooking all inside. Millook has its own shower and toilet just outside the hut, private to Millook’s guests. The lodges are all self-contained. Bluebird, the camping pitches and the bell tents on the lower hillside and in the camping field use the shared block on the valley floor; St Petroc, St Enodoc and Sea Campion on the upper hillside use the second block, in the glamping car park. Both are open 24 hours.
Camping and touring pitches are available from noon to 6pm on arrival day, and we ask you to leave by 11am. Glamping and lodges are ready from 3pm, with departure by 10am.
The bell tents run from April to September. Outside those months the lodges stay open, as do Bluebird and Boskenna, and the camping pitches run in their own seasons.
Book direct through our own booking system for live prices and availability, with no booking fees. If you’d rather talk it through first, call Becky or John on 07973 513974 or email reservations@willowvalley.co.uk.
