Willow Valley

Facilities at Willow Valley

A small, award-winning park that has thought about campers of all ages — shower blocks, a launderette, free WiFi and electric hook-ups, all in eleven sheltered acres.

  • Toilets & showers open 24/7
  • Dogs welcome in every stay
  • Free WiFi over BT Fibre
  • Family-run park

Everything on site is within a short walk of everything else. Two toilet and shower blocks, a launderette, a covered cook deck for glampers, and eleven acres of river and woodland to walk around — all inside a gated valley two miles inland from Bude.

The toilets and site facilities are open 24 hours, so there is never a point in the night when you can’t get a hot shower or fill a water bottle.

Washing & laundry

Showers, toilets and laundry

Inside one of the washrooms: a row of basins along a mint-green counter under wall mirrors, white tiling and a pine-boarded ceiling

Washrooms

Two toilet and shower blocks, both open around the clock. Baby changing is fitted in the male and the female toilets, not just one of them, so whichever of you is on duty doesn’t have to queue for the other side.

  • Two toilet and shower blocks
  • Hot showers with hairdryers
  • Baby changing in both the male and female toilets
  • Open 24 hours
  • Drinking water points
  • Chemical and WC disposal point

Hot showers

The showers run hot and there are hairdryers in the block, which saves hunting for a socket. Everything is cleaned through daily.

Inside the launderette: a washing machine with its coin meter alongside and an ironing board set up beside it

Launderette

A washing machine and a tumble dryer, which after a week of beach days is usually the most-used building on the park.

  • Washing machine and tumble dryer
  • Irons available on request

Families

For children and families

The camping field at dusk, the swings and picnic benches on the grass beyond the track, with tents and motorhomes pitched either side

Family and dogs

There are football goals and swings for the children, and eleven acres of river and woodland to walk off a long drive in. Dogs get a wash station behind reception, which is worth knowing about after a morning on the sand.

  • Football goals and swings
  • Dog wash behind reception
  • Dog bins around the site
  • Eleven acres of river and woodland to roam

Dogs

Bringing the dog

Dogs

Dogs are welcome in every stay we have — no exceptions, no dog-free units.

  • Dogs must be kept on a lead no longer than two metres at all times
  • Please exercise them in the area provided
  • Please don’t leave a dog unattended at any time
  • Because we’re a family park, we’re sorry that we can’t accept Rottweilers, Dobermans, Bull Mastiffs, Pit Bull Terriers or crosses of these breeds

Eating & supplies

Kitchen, power and provisions

There is no café or restaurant on the park. We have a shop on site with local produce, hot drinks, ice creams and the essentials.

The covered washing-up area, two stainless steel sinks under a timber lean-to with the bins opposite

Cook deck for glampers

A covered kitchen with an outdoor deck, for the evenings when cooking in a tent porch has lost its charm. There is a communal fridge-freezer in there too, and a vending machine that sells soft drinks only; snacks are in the shop in reception. Irons are available on request.

The three bell tents up on the hillside have a smaller cook deck of their own too, by their shower block in the glamping car park, with somewhere to wash up and a fridge and freezer, a short walk from the tents rather than down here.

  • Cook deck for glampers
  • Communal fridge-freezer
  • Vending machine — soft drinks only
  • A second, smaller cook deck in the glamping car park for the upper-hillside bell tents

Power and connectivity

Free WiFi runs over BT Fibre and reaches across the park. Electric hook-ups are optional on touring pitches — add one when you book if you want it.

  • Optional electric hook-ups on touring pitches

Arrival & security

Getting in, and who's watching over it

Arrival and security

Entry is controlled by an ANPR barrier, which reads your number plate and lifts automatically — no code to remember and nobody to find. CCTV covers the entrance and the communal areas 24 hours a day.

It is worth being clear about what that means: the park has an ANPR barrier and CCTV, and we walk round ourselves — there is no security guard on site.

  • On-site parking
  • ANPR barrier — automatic number plate recognition on entry
  • CCTV over the entrance and communal areas, 24/7
  • No security guard on site — camera and barrier security, plus our own walk-rounds
  • Gated, low-density valley

Arrival and departure

Camping and touring guests arrive any time from noon until 6pm and leave by 11am on the last day. Glamping and lodge guests arrive from 3pm and leave by 10am.

Arriving outside those windows? Let us know in advance and we will make sure you can still get settled in.

On your pitch

Pitches, vehicles and BBQs

We are not able to take commercial vans on the park.

Pitches, awnings and vehicles

There are 21 camping pitches. Most take four to six people, and a large grass pitch takes up to eight. If you’re a larger group, please book two pitches.

  • Awnings and gazebos are welcome on any pitch — add them to your booking when asked
  • One vehicle per touring pitch, and two per caravan or lodge
  • Extra vehicles use the designated parking area for an additional charge

BBQs and firepits

BBQs and firepits are welcome — please raise them off the grass or the decking on a stand or on bricks so the turf and the boards survive the summer.

Who the site is for

Willow Valley is a families-and-couples site. We’re not able to take all-male, all-female or mixed groups, or large parties. If your family needs more than one pitch’s worth of space, book the pitches you need or get in touch and we’ll sort it out.

Accessibility

An honest word on access

There is no step-free or accessible toilet at the moment. The valley terrain varies in the meantime, so please call us before you book and we will talk through what will and won’t work for you.

If steps, slopes or surfaces matter to your visit, talk to us first. We would rather be straight about what the valley can and can’t do than have you arrive to a surprise.
