Padstow Christmas Festival
December 8th
North Cornwall is a fantastic area to visit and one of the gems, apart from Bude itself of course, is Padstow. One of the highlights of the Padstow calendar is the Christmas Festival which is well worth a visit. The main marquee hosts the huge array of Christmas market stall holders along with the food court. The choice is huge from food and drink suppliers including a selection of gins to artisan crafts and places to stay. This shows the incredible choice in the food court:
Two other marquees provided areas for cooking demonstrations and shows by the top chefs in the area, if you want to see Paul Ainsworth or Rick Stein you need to get in the queue early! There are over 60 Chefs/shows to choose from so there is plenty for everyone. In addition, there is a Santa fun run and cycle, a carol concert, Santa Claus grotto a lantern parade and of course the Friday Fireworks. The children’s lantern parade is produced from the local schools and is a curtain raiser for Santa’s arrival:
The horse drawn carriage brings a sense of the past to the narrow streets and harbourside walkways. Why not book to stay at the park and include a trip to nearby Padstow?
