Accessibility
We want this website to work for everyone. Here is what we have done, what we know is still limited, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and to meet our duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments for disabled visitors.
We believe this site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 at Level AA. It has not yet been independently audited, and anything we know falls short is listed below.
What we have done
- A skip-to-content link so keyboard users can jump straight past the menu.
- The site is built to be operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline throughout, so you can always see where you are.
- Proper page structure: landmarks, one main heading per page and a sensible heading order, so screen readers can navigate.
- Real, descriptive alt text on photographs, not filler.
- Space is reserved for each image before it loads, so the page does not jump around as you read.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, we honour that and turn animation down.
What is still limited
We would rather be honest about the things we know are not perfect yet:
- This site has not yet had an independent accessibility audit, so there may be problems we have not found. If you hit one, please tell us — the details are below and we will fix what we can.
- The park itself does not currently have an accessible toilet.
- The upper hillside bell tents are reached up a steep path, which will not suit everyone.
- The park map on this site is a schematic drawing to help you get your bearings, not a precise, to-scale plan.
If you are planning a visit and want to talk through what will and will not work for you, please get in touch before you book and we will do our best to help.
